Ping Pong
When it comes to sports, some of us are more accustomed to smaller and sharper movements like the ones that can be found in Ping Pong. This classic sport has been a staple of game halls and college dorms for who knows how long. It's meant to be a sport that anyone can pick up for fun or for serious competition. The sound of the ball hitting the paddles and the table is very satisfying and it always feels good to hit that power shot. This has been translated to a browser and now you can wield the digital paddle of might.
About Ping Pong
What is a miniature version of tennis, hence the alternative name of "table-tennis", has proven to be enjoyable among all ages and builds. In many ways, this game places everyone on the same playing field and gives children a chance to take down adults and casual players a chance to challenge professional athletes. It's also a chance to let loose on a small plastic ball that is safe and yet can endure a lot of power. Both the physical and digital versions of the game focus a lot on the sounds of the ball's impact and make you want to keep the gaming going.
How to Play
Ping Pong is a top-down 2D sports game that can be played with the mouse. The only option is to play against the computer wielding the blue paddle while you wield the red paddle. When the game starts, you'll get a view of the table and the paddle. To pick up your paddle, click the left mouse button and hold it. You can move it by dragging it back and forth. To hit the ball, just move the paddle over it the faster the movement, the harder you'll hit. If you come fast from the side, you'll put a spin on it.
The game uses standard rules: Only one bounce on each side is allowed and hitting the ball off the table is a lost point. Players alternate serving the ball. The first one to reach 10 points wins the match.
Tips and Tricks
There's only so much space to work with on the table but you should maintain a center position as often as you can. This allows you to react quickly to whichever area the ball heads to and then set up to hit back hard with a smash.
