There was a time when jetpacks were the high point of sci-fi fantasy and we still haven't achieved it which is why we must turn to Jetpack Joyride. Even in the game world, heroes are thinking in unusual ways to realize the dream of having a personal flying device. It follows the adventure of an unknown businessman who breaks into a facility and manages to get his hands on an experimental jetpack. With no desire to give it back (I mean, would you?) he decides to don the jetpack and use it to get past all of the facility's security. Now we'll see if you're worthy to wear such technology.
About Jetpack Joyride
The endless runner takes multiple forms and having a jetpack of some kind is not too surprising. This game is a colorful endless runner that takes time to lure you in before ramping up the danger. After all, the jetpack you're wearing is not some kind of jet engine but is instead a Gatling gun that has been made to fire bullets with such force that it can propel you high above the ground. Just remember that the bullets are always raining down on somebody as you start to fly about creating a constant rain of lead.
How to Play
Jetpack Joyride is a 2D endless runner game about escaping a science facility with a jetpack using only the mouse. The hero will automatically move from left to right at a constant speed on the ground and in the air. To use the jetpack, just click the Left mouse Button. The jetpack will remain on as long as you keep the button pressed. You need to alternate presses to control the jetpack's height and achieve your goal of getting as far out of the facility as you can.
When the run starts, the hero will be running on the ground. As he runs, new hazards will start to appear to stop him. These can take the forms of electric barriers, missiles fired from offscreen, security lasers, and even angry scientists running around on the ground. There are so many dangers and unfortunately, the hero is very fragile. If he gets hit by any obstacle, the jetpack will be destroyed and the hero will fall.
As you fly, you'll be able to collect things like coins, temporary tech boosts (like teleporters), and moving discs which can do things like generate a piggy bank to chase or create shockwaves to remove hazards. In the main menu, you can use the coins to buy new jetpacks and outfits for the hero. In-game, enough coins can allow you to revive from a fall. You can check the current achievements to see what conditions you need to fulfill to complete them and get a sizeable reward.
Tips and Tricks
The pace that the hero moves at is pretty steady and gives you a lot of time to respond to hazard arrangements. The most dangerous are the security lasers that will spawn on either side. They'll move faster as you get further, so try to spend a lot of time in the center so that you can quickly ascend or fall to avoid them.
