The Aventine Cipher Game Description
The Aventine Cipher is a hand-painted point-and-click Templar mystery in night-time Rome. Livia, a fresco restorer, finds her seven-hundred-year-old fresco vandalised. Follow the trail across the city: reveal what the painter hid with an ultraviolet torch, outwit a sleepy guard and his hungry dog, look through the most famous keyhole in the world and open a crypt sealed since 1312. Three chapters, about 30 minutes of play.
How to play The Aventine Cipher?
Click or tap to walk. Click or tap people and objects to interact; right-click (or tap and choose Look) to examine. Open the satchel, pick an item and click something in the scene to use it; pick a second item to combine them. Choose a topic to talk. The notebook keeps your lead, clues and hints. The magnifier shows all hotspots. Double-click to run or leave a place. Keys: I satchel, N notebook, H hotspots, Space skip, Esc menu.
