Retrace Game Description

Your grandfather left you a clock that should not exist. Ethan and Zoe Cole repair it in his old workshop and find themselves in Munich on 9 November 1923, a few metres from the putsch. One forced second changes everything. Back home, their town is a checkpoint and people are missing from the records. To fix it, they must go back before their own first arrival and become the strangers they once ignored. 53 hand made mechanisms, 28 places, two eras.

How to play Retrace?

Desktop:
Mouse = look, pick up, use, travel
Click an object in the bag, then a mechanism = fit it
Click two objects = combine them
J = journal, M = map, H = hint, Esc = pause
Arrows or WASD + Enter = play without the mouse

Mobile:
Tap = look, pick up, use, travel
Tap an object, then a mechanism = fit it

Hint:
every mechanism has its instructions somewhere in the same room. Read them first, the journal keeps them.
