Flappy Bird Classic
Sometimes it's baffling just how popular certain games get and Flappy Bird is a testament to that. Although it was initially released as a mobile game, it has since been removed and revived as a game to play online. As far as challenges go, this game is as simple as it can get while also having an unbelievable amount of difficulty. It's a 2D pixel endless runner where you're helping a little bird flap as hard as it can through a variety of obstacles. Like with other games in the genre, the goal is to get as far as you can always shooting for a new personal best.
About Flappy Bird
The game is the embodiment of frustration and perseverance. It's so easy to pick it up and becomes even harder to put it down the longer you play. Every time you start, you think you'll have a better hang of it only for the level loadout to crush your dreams. On the other hand, it definitely makes you feel amazing whenever you get just one point further than last time. While there is no beating it, there thought of beating your past self can be too tantalizing to pass up. The goal is always just within and out of reach at the same time.
How to Play
Flappy Bird is designed in such a way that your natural intuition is enough to pick up the controls and the feel for the game. The bird moves forward on its own but you control its flapping with each press of the button. One press is equal to one flap which causes the bird to surge upward a fixed distance while stopping its downward momentum.
- Spacebar/Left Mouse Button: Flap Up
As the bird continues forward, the level will generate green pipes that are arranged vertically in your way. Each pipe has a gap that will generate a gap at a randomized height that the bird can flap through. Your only goal is to get through as many pipes as possible.
Tips and Tricks
This is a game that tests your patience and you should not play it if you're angry or frustrated. The best approach is a calm approach as this game requires you to enter into a rhythm to ensure success. When it comes to squeezing through pipes, always assume that a flap will boost you higher than expected and that you'll drop faster than expected.
Flappy Game Modes
Although the game doesn't have much complexity, it does offer degrees of difficulty. In between runs, you can have the option to reduce the difficulty by increasing the size of the pipe gaps by 2 percent increments. It's not much but it provides some relief if need be.
