Sun & Moon Game Description
Sun & Moon is a calm binary logic puzzle. Fill every cell with a sun or a moon while keeping equal numbers of each symbol in every row and column and avoiding three identical symbols in a row.
The signs between cells add another layer of deduction: = means the neighboring symbols match, while × means they differ. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard for endlessly generated boards with proven unique solutions, optional hints, and personal best and average solve times.
Deduction, never guesswork
Every board has a single valid filling, proved by a solver before you see it, so every cell can be reasoned out. A contradiction is shown in red rather than blocked — spotting your own mistake is part of the puzzle, and nothing is ever taken away for trying.
The three-in-a-row shortcut
Two matching symbols side by side force the opposite at both ends. A gap between two matching symbols has to take the other symbol. Once a row holds half its suns, every remaining cell is a moon. On Hard, work the = and × signs first: they carry most of the board.

What do the = and × signs mean?
= means the two cells either side hold the same symbol; × means they differ. Every sign printed on the board is true of the solution.
Why can I place a symbol that breaks a rule?
Illegal states are shown in red, never blocked. Finding the contradiction is the puzzle, and there is no penalty for a wrong move.
