Field of Steel Alpha 0.1 Game Description
Two armies. Six battalions each. One field.
Field of Steel is a cross between an epic battle simulator and a real-time strategy game. Over a thousand soldiers clash on a battlefield you can actually wreck:
catapult stones gouge craters and throw men into the air
arrows stay where they land for the whole battle
ballista bolts tear through whole ranks
cannonballs skip and plough furrows through the lines
How to play Field of Steel Alpha 0.1?
CONTROLS
Left click / drag: select a battalion / box select (Shift adds)
Right click: move (double-click to run)
Right drag: set the front line to face
Right click an enemy: attack
1–6: select a battalion type, press again to cycle sub-battalions
V / B: split / merge
Z / X / C: defensive / offensive / charge
WASD, arrows, screen edges: pan the camera
Q / E, middle-drag: rotate the camera
Mouse wheel: zoom
Space: jump to the selection
− / =: slow down / speed up time
P / Esc: pause / menu
