Spider-Man: Green Goblin Havoc
If DC has Superman, then Marvel has Spiderman as their most iconic hero even though he couldn't be more different than the man of steel. Still, you can see what kind of troubles he has to deal with in Spider-Man: Green Goblin Havoc. Spiderman has many villains he deals with regularly and the Green Goblin is one of the more persistent. Having access to dangerous technology, a vehicle for flying, and physical abilities similar to Spiderman, the Green Goblin poses a real threat to Spiderman and the city of New York. You'll have to show that you're skilled enough to avoid everything he has to throw at you.
About Spider-Man: Green Goblin Havoc
Spiderman games like to revolve around "making you feel like Spiderman" but sometimes have to work within their limitations. This game is a Spiderman venture that is quite casual compared to other titles featuring the arachnid-based hero. It focuses on his agility and he has to avoid the attacks of the Green Goblin rather than fighting him. However, the fact is that you can never lose a fight if your opponent can never hit you. Spiderman has never really been about brawn and this game is pretty strong evidence of that, but we need agile and athletic heroes too.
How to Play
Spider-Man: Green Goblin Havoc is a 2D arcade-style casual game about Spiderman avoiding the Green Goblin played with just the keyboard.
Controls
- Up Arrow - Move Up
- Down Arrow - Move Down
- Left Arrow - Move Left
- Right Arrow - Move Right
The goal of the game is to avoid the Green Goblin's attacks until the timer at the top of the screen runs out. Spiderman's health will appear just below the timer and if it drops to nothing, the game ends. You can collect Spiderman icons that appear in the area to restore some of your health.
Spiderman is positioned on the side of a building that is beside a similar building. There are six open spots that Spiderman can move between. The Green Goblin will be attacking with his trademark Pumpkin Bombs, targeting the different spots on the building. Green crosshairs will appear to show which spots which be targeted. They will turn red as the bomb prepares to make impact and Spiderman will take damage if he's on that spot when it hits. As the timer ticks down, more bombs will be thrown and they will hit much faster.
Tips and Tricks
Early on, you need to be prepared to make the most of the crosshair time limits. Until the bombs hit, you can safely sit in the crosshairs until they start turning red. Use this to buy yourself time and wait for more positions to open up.
