You are a player who has decided to play an interesting game of soccer that uses a board and sliding to kick the ball. You'll be playing against others who will pick their teams based on countries from around the world. You can play a single match or aim to become the champion by taking your team to the top. Of course, you'll need to keep winning to make that happen and remain flexible in your tactics to keep your opponents from getting too comfortable.

In this game, you'll be using the rules and structure of soccer to play a related board game. You may or may not be familiar with it or with soccer, but it shouldn't take long for you to figure out what you need to do and how you can win. You must spend some time playing to get a feel for the pieces and how they move before you can continuously grab victory.

How to Play

Soccer Tournament is a 2D top-down sports game where you're playing soccer on a board using only the mouse. To select a piece, move the cursor over it to highlight it and then hold down the Left Mouse Button. You can then drag the cursor to aim the piece in the opposite direction and determine its power before release. The goal is to get the ball into the goal as many times as you can. Whoever gets the most goals will win the match.

The main menu lets you choose the game mode and then pick your team once you're ready to play. After you pick your team, you can select the style of field and how your players will be arranged. You'll then be taken to the field where your team will be on one side and the opposing team will be on the other. The scoreboard and timer will be centered at the top of the screen. Taking turns, each side selects one player's piece to slide across the field. Pieces can kick the ball and push each other around on contact. If the ball goes into your opponent's goal, you'll receive a point. You must score as many times as you're able before the game ends.

Tips and Tricks

Since this is a sliding piece game, you must carefully consider the angle and power of your shots. Similar to billiards, the pieces can be used to reposition your pieces or those of your opponent, making the game more challenging or favorable. If you can't reach the ball, it's better to arrange your pieces defensively in response.
