You'll soon start to see that some blocks are best suited to specific parts of the grid or fit in specific slots you must create. The puzzle is only as complex as you make it or as determined by the different blocks you're randomly given.

How to Play

Jewel Block Puzzle is a 2D puzzle game about sorting blocks to keep the grid clear for more blocks using the mouse. The blocks you can move will appear at the bottom, underneath the grid. To move a block, move the cursor over to it, hold down the Left Mouse Button, and drag it to a space on the grid. If the block fits, it will snap into place. The goal is to make vertical and horizontal lines with the blocks to remove them. If you place the blocks so there's no space for new ones, it's game over.

The main menu lets you choose what kind of puzzle challenge you want to play. After you pick, you'll be shown an empty grid, and your available blocks will appear at the bottom. You must place all of your current blocks before receiving new ones. Blocks can be in different arrangements and colors, but as long as space is available, they can be placed anywhere on the grid. When you make a line, the specific block pieces in the line will be destroyed, leaving behind other blocks in the arrangement. Keep placing blocks and making lines to keep the game going and increase your score.

Tips and Tricks

Since the puzzle is at your whim, you must carefully consider placing the more difficult and complex blocks. Squares can be placed in the corners and against the walls to give you a solid border, while angular blocks should be arranged to fit together. Line blocks are helpful but long, so be prepared to accommodate them when they appear.
