Astro Hoops is an alien adventure where the aliens are more concerned with flying through space than invading the Earth. You play a little alien pilot practicing flying through the stars to prove his skills. You must guide the alien and his ship through a dangerous part of space while performing maneuvers to hit specific targets. The alien won't have outside help, but there will be objects that he can rely on should things get a bit more difficult. Flying the spaceship is tricky, so mind how you fly to guide the alien safely through the dangers and toward all the good stuff.
About Astro Hoops
You can find many adventures about aliens in space or on different planets, with activities differing between them. This game is all about spaceship flight and how it would be possible for some aliens to crash-land on other planets. Your ship isn't very sturdy or maneuverable, so you must work with its controls to keep it in the safe zone. The part of space you're in is confined with lots of stuff floating around, so you won't be able to relax for long. Your spaceship has bouncy movements, which you must use to navigate deftly. If the ship crashes, you'll just have to get another one.
How to Play
Astro Hoops is a 2D arcade game about flying a spaceship through a dangerous part of space using the mouse. To boost the spaceship upwards, click the Left Mouse Button. The longer you hold it, the more the spaceship will boost. The ship will automatically move from left to right on its own. The goal is to keep the spacecraft flying and collect as many rings as possible. The ship's health is displayed as hearts in the top left corner, and if it loses all of them, the ship will crash.
The main menu lets you visit the shop to buy new ships and pilots for your runs using the coins you've gathered. After you've picked, you can start playing, and you'll load into a clear part of space. Once you have control, you must boost sporadically to keep the ship from hitting the barriers at the bottom or the top. As the ship flies, you must avoid obstacles like asteroids and bombs that will deal impact damage. There will be rings that you can fly through to increase your score and your rewards. You can also collect loose coins and hearts to restore your health. When the ship crashes, your run will end, and you'll receive a score based on your performance.
Tips and Tricks
This is a clicking or tapping game where you need to be quick with your finger to keep the ship aloft. You must approach rings carefully, as hitting their edges will damage you, so get a sense of the ship's arc after each boost. Rings aren't mandatory, so if too many obstacles surround one, simply evade and move on to the next one.
